Shabbat at a Glance

Congregation Shaare Tefilah Bene Moshe was established in December of 1992. Initially, services were held in private homes and only on Shabbat.
During the next couple of years, several different Rabbi’s served as the spiritual leaders of our Synagogue. By the third year we were able to purchase a home so that the Rabbi could live upstairs and the congregation would occupy the basement to hold services.
As time went on and the congregation grew and we needed to expand and build a permanent structure. In 2001 we were able to purchased the house next door and move the Rabbi to that location, therefore enabling us to start on the planning for the new Synagogue.
In the spring of 2006 we took down the original house and started the construction of our new Synagogue. During the construction period services are being held in a double trailer, offering daily Minyan services as well as a fully operating Torah center and nightly learning.
We started with only 10 families and today our Synagogue is a spiritual home to more than 100 families.
With the help of Hashem we hope to be in our new building no later than the High Holiday’s of 2008.
